My Dying SoulMy Dying Soul
Nightmares have returned again,
to nurture my inner demon.
Dark nights have returned again,
to slowly take away my soul.
The sun feels dim.
The moon feels lonely.
The sky feels starless.
The world feels ugly.
The flowers smell foul.
The trees are dying.
The sea seems red—
like the poisonous blood
flowing through my veins.
The lights feel unbearable.
The sparkles are intolerable.
The evenings are silent.
The nights are endless.
And once again,
my nightmares have returned—
not to let me sleep,
but to wake the monster
I had buried within.Nightmares have returned again,
